How do I plan a tint visit when I'm coming from West Bloomfield?
Settle the film and the windows before you set out, so the trip is one drive over and one drive home. Most vehicles take 2 to 4 hours, and a few things can stretch that, such as curved rear glass or old tint that has to come off first.
- Send the quote request with your year, make and model, and say which windows you want done.
- Decide between carbon and ceramic film, using the comparison below.
- If your current tint is bubbling, purple or peeling, say so in the request. Removal is quoted as a separate line item and adds to the time.
- Drive over at the time we agree, and plan to be here for the 2 to 4 hours.

Should a West Bloomfield driver choose ceramic or carbon film?
Most people choose ceramic, our premium film, because it reduces interior heat. Carbon is the lower-priced film, and it holds a steady color.
| Ceramic | Carbon | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it fits | Our recommendation for most drivers | A solid pick when you want the lower-priced film |
| Interior heat | Reduces it the most of our two films | Reduces it, though less than ceramic |
| UV | Rated for 99% UV rejection | Rated for 99% UV rejection |
| Color | Backed against purple color change by the warranty | Steady color, backed against purple color change by the warranty |
Our carbon vs ceramic tint guide goes through the two films side by side.
What happens to my vehicle during those 2 to 4 hours?
The glass is cleaned, each film pattern is cut for your vehicle, the film is applied and the edges are finished, and every window is inspected before the car leaves. The work is done inside our shop, which is climate-controlled (heated and cooled), insured, and gated with an alarm.
- Cut by machine: a computer plotter cuts the film to your windows, so nothing is cut by hand on the glass.
- Wet-applied: the film goes on the inside of the glass and is squeegeed out so it adheres fully.
- Edges finished: trimmed or heat-shrunk to sit against the gaskets and seals.
- Inspected: every window is checked for clarity and adhesion before you drive away.
What should I do in the first month after tinting?
Keep the windows up for 5 days and do not wash the film for 30 days. Keep your warranty card and proof of purchase too, since the manufacturer's lifetime limited warranty comes with conditions.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Days 1 to 5 | Do not roll the windows down. |
| Days 3 to 7 | Small water pockets may show while the film cures. They are normal and go away on their own. |
| Day 30 and after | Washing is fine. Use mild soap and a soft, clean cloth or synthetic sponge, never abrasive cleaners. |
The warranty lasts as long as the original customer owns the vehicle and covers peeling, cracking, adhesive failure, delamination and purple color change. Ghosting isn't covered, and if you ever need to make a claim, contact us first.
What does Michigan law say about tint before I choose?
Michigan's tint rules are in one statute, MCL 257.709. It limits film on the windshield and the front driver and passenger windows to a strip along the top edge, exempts nonreflective tint on the rear side windows and rear window, and sets no darkness percentage.
Our Michigan window tint laws guide covers each window, including the medical exemption. This isn't legal advice, and we go over what is allowed on your vehicle when you choose your film.
